Lake Retreat!

Yes…it is coming. What is now known as THE legendary summer event is coming in a week! The Lake Retreat will be on Friday night, June 27^th – June 28^th. This year, we will be staying in town as we will go out to the Ski Pit FROM THE CHURCH on Friday at 4pm and come back to the church to sleep at 11pm.

The question you should ask is…Matt, why are we staying at the church?

Well…after a few problems we had last year, we have decided that we would have to take a few of the parts of the retreat away in hopes that we can resolve them this year. Last year we had some issues with tents and the way the rooms were left, SO, this year we will go back to the church to sleep. Guys in the Youth Center, and the girls in the parlor. We will be leaving FROM the church on Saturday morning to go back to the lake until 7pm when the retreat will be over.

What you need to bring is:

• APPROPRIATE Swimwear (Guys and chicks…thongs are a no thanks)
• Towel
• Extra Clothes
• Toiletries (shower stuff…yes there are showers at the church)
• Sleepwear (Sleeping Bag, Pillow, Teddy Bear or Taggy Blanket…Jeremy uses his)
• Sun Screen
• $5

This year is different due to some of the problems (some listed above) with last year’s retreat. We are hoping that by changing some of the things up for this year that we will not have issues this year. Please…we are ALL ABOUT having fun, but not at the expense (literally in some ways) of our host and of others. Let’s make this retreat another wicked awesome weekend!

CAR WASH

Yup...it is coming on Saturday, June 14^th and we need A LOT of help from 9am-2pm. We will need things from:

• Buckets
• Towels
• Car Soap
• Hoses
• Etc

If you have anything like that you would be willing to let us borrow or donate, PLEASE let Matt know as well. These are always a great time…so please post on the blog if you are planning to help. We need A LOT of people to make this work smoothly.

BAKE SALE THIS SUNDAY!!!

Sunday, June 8^th is the YM Bake Sale between services and following the 2^nd service. Now…here is the thing…

WE NEED STUFF FOR THE SALE!

I know things have been winding down and PRETTY crazy with the end of the school year, but this is something we really need help with. If you can…PLEASE let me know if you are planning on bringing something for the Bake Sale by Friday. Let me know what it is, etc. This will help me out on my end of things. It can be anything from homemade cookies, to a coupon for a dinner for (however many people) at your house, etc. The money raised will go towards the trip we are taking to the Creation Museum on Friday, July 11^th. This trip COULD…yes, COULD turn into an overnight trip with King’s Island on Saturday but it all comes down to the money raised through this Bake Sale and the Car Wash coming up the following Saturday. We will need help during the Bake Sale, so if you can help between services and/or after the 2^nd service on Sunday let me know as well.

Please, if you are willing to do something…let me know ASAP. This will be nothing without you, so please get involved.

CREATION MUSEUM TRIP

On Friday, July 11th the Youth Ministry will be leaving to take a trip down to the Creation Museum. There has been alot of interest in this trip for the past few months, so we are going.

Here is the thing...to be able to go you MUST sign up below before June 27th. By then, if you are not on the list you may not be able to go. We do have limited space on the bus/vehicles/etc so DO NOT procrastinate. The cost to be able to go is $20, which also covers the cost of food for that day!

***ALSO*** Depending on how we do with the two Fundraisers listed above, we MAY be staying overnight and going to Kings Island the next day!!! Yes...so if you are planning to go, you NEED to get involved in the fund-raisers. I will keep you updated and let you know by the 27th what the finalized plan is.

Awards Night!

The last WNL of the year will be on Wednesday, May 28th at 6pm. Yes, AWARDS NIGHT is back with categories from last year as well as NEW categories. Come with your family and see who will win this year's SQUISHIES. This is always a good time, so make sure to mark it on your calendar.

WNL this week!

The countdown to Awards Night is getting closer. This week at WNL we wrap up the HOME IMPROVEMENT series with week 5 and special guest, Steve Sherwood! Yes, Steve will be leading us in worship as we look at what needs to be at the heart of the family...a complete dependence and foundation on God.

Next week we will be watching the PASSION during WNL. If you haven't seen this movie, you need to make plans to be there.

Be there this week! Dinner starts at 5:30 and WNL starts at 6:30. See you there!

LOCK IN!!!

Yup...the next Lock In is coming on Friday, May 2nd from 6pm - 8am Saturday morning. If you have missed previous lock-in's in the past, you will NOT want to miss this one.

To be able to attend, you DO NEED to have a medical form turned in at some point during this WNL year (you can get them from Matt), $5 when you come and:

GUYS: a snack
GIRLS: a sweet snack
